Alfredo Zapata De Jesús is a Puerto Rican artist based in the western area. He stands out because of his sculptural pieces and time-based media. He was born in 2001 and currently resides in Cabo Rojo. The themes present in his art are based on the experiences that bind us to the places and structures we visit. Which he expresses through the pieces formed by objects found in them. The aesthetics of his work present the contrast between the industrial and the organic. Alfredo is a student at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, where he will soon complete a Bachelor of Arts in Plastic Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Theory. His piece EVENTO 10 from the EMULADORES SILENTES series was selected at the Annual Student Exhibition held on the 27th of April, 2023. His latest exhibition was on the “Museo de los Próceres de Cabo Rojo”, where he presented the series EMULADORES SILENTES from May 25th to June 23rd.
