As a result of Alfredo Zapata’s artistic process and research for his project Encubrimientos, which explored organization and disorganization found in human behavior, he analyzed the dried grass found in hay bales. Small strands of grass were observed and photographed through a microscope, studying group formations of organic matter on a microscopic level. These observations are intended to set up other approaches to the artist’s concept of society’s synthetic identity.
